Here is a list of my amazing beer experience!!

01

Attending at the Great British Beer Festival!

The largest beer festival in the UK is taken place in Olympia, London every August. You can try over 800 real ales, ciders and international beers with nice foods, music and entertainments.

It will be a fantastic opportunity to explore new types of ales and English culture. Ale beginners and international visitors are very welcome, and I am sure this opportunity will turn you to ale enthusiasts!!

02

Getting my beer Bible from the God of beer!!

1001 Beers-you must try before you die!! That is the book I wanted!! If I try 100 beers per year, it still takes 10 years!! It means my pleasure will be stable for another 10 years!! Yay, and thanks for the beer god!!

03

Awarded as the member of CAMRA!

I am very proud of myself with my membership from CAMRA. I like drinking ales, its culture and talkative people in beer festivals.

At the beginning, I felt strange as I was always the only international? Asian? lady in beer festivals, and everybody seemed very curious to me. But I know English people are very talkative, and I really enjoyed talking with them. My attendance in the Birmingham beer festival inspired me a lot, and I started thinking about the possibility of beer festivals as my dissertation in Bournemouth University.

Visiting a birthplace of ales 'Burton-Upon-Trent'!!

Burton-Upon-Trent is a very famous town in my beer life-the birthplace of ales, especially my favourite IPA. This town's economy has been supported by beers. These days, Burton-Upon-Trent is occupied by a global dominated 'lager' company and Marston's, and it implies the challenge breweries and its industry have to deal with.

I visited 'the National Brewery Museum' there. My tour guide was very keen to help my research, and he said to me 'you are the ideal lady who studies beer. You are a girl and Japanese.' It was not a big surprise as I got used to being told at beer festivals!!

Practice of beer-themed tourism at food festivals and the Tour de France.

I am happy to announce there are a couple of practices of beer-themed tourism. You had speciality beers themed 'cycling' for Tour de France in the Yorkshire. Many breweries produced something special for this cycling event! You also found beer bars at food festivals. Beer should be matched with foods as the same as wine and champaigne. They are excellent examples and steps for beer-themed tourism!
