One of the most popular and larger beer festivals in the UK-the Reading beer festival was taken place in marquees, park on the Bank holiday weekend.

As the Bank holiday weekend, I found lots of families and ladies there. As the weather was wonderful, attendees seemed very happy and enjoyed sunshine with nice ales on grass!

I walked around, and spoke to several people. One of the lady who has 15 years experience in beer festivals and a member of CAMRA, was very keen to talk about her past experiences. I met the gentlemen who lives in Bournemouth, is orginally from Cornwall and came to this festival for visiting his family in Reading. He was very proud of Cornish ales as he is from Cornwall, and liked trying only Cornish ales!

After my observation, my primary mission in this festival began!! Working as a volunteer with a festival T-shirts!! On my first day, I worked at beer bars from 6pm to 11pm. I tapped thousands pints of ales only for five hours!! It was my pleasure, but I felt lots of pressure from many thirsty drinkers!!

I also met fantastic crews during my work. One gentleman who worked for the entrance with me on my second day, was very friendly and kindly explained me from ales history to nice ales. He lives in London, and started working for this festival several years ago. He likes drinking ales as his dad also likes them. Both of us like drinking 'Hoppy' IPA, so we sampled a couple of pints of IPAs during our duty.

I also came across my old friend!! I met her in Tokyo when she studied in the University of Reading. We had not kept in touch with each others for ages!! It was a fantastic reunion there. I served her her favourite 'Porter' at beer bars!!
