Rotherham beer festival-my initial research for my dissertation in my home 'Sheffield'!!

Rotherham is located near the steel and industrial city 'Sheffield'. Sheffield is the most important city for me in the UK. I used to study there from 2004 to 2005 when I was an undergraduate. I often visit Sheffield to meet my fantastic friends.

This time, I had a fabulous friend-Alex with me. He is my friend's boyfriend, but I did not know that he was a big fan of real ales!! I saw him drinking lots of ciders when we spent the last Christmas with his home-made recipe 'pigs in blankets'. We went to the Rotherham beer festival in the early March.

This festival was an initial research for my dissertation as I submitted my proposal to my programme leader before visiting, and obviously my topic is beer festival.

In the venue, there were lots of rooms and spaces which specialised in each areas of locAle such as South Yorkshire, North and East Yorkshire, Notts and Leicestershire!! They had more than 300 ales and ciders with nice music and entertainments.

My beer friend 'Alex' was very keen to introduce me to volunteers at beer bars, and we had meaningful chats with them. They also wanted to teach me some slungs. I should not mention on this site!!
